From design to carton
Seven stages, one short chain.
Decoration and firing are usually what decide whether a pattern reads as yours or as anyone's. How far those stages sit from forming is what decides how cheap a change is to test.
Ceramic forming
The stage that decides how consistent a range will be. Forming method and tooling are agreed piece by piece and confirmed at sampling.
Glazing
Glaze and surface finish are specified per design, and any hand-finishing is written into the specification rather than assumed.
Decoration
Pattern application is specified per design. The method suited to the look you want is agreed before production.
Firing
Firing follows the schedule the agreed body and glaze require. Anything the result depends on is written into the specification you approve.
Sample development
Sampling scope is agreed at the start of a project. Buyers decide on pieces they can hold, rather than on a screen.
Quality control
Inspection scope is set by the specification agreed at sampling. What is checked, and what is not, is set out in writing with the order.
Packaging
Retail, gift and export packing, developed with the order so the presentation and the carton are planned together.

Factory statistics are only worth anything if they are accurate and current. So we do not publish them here.
